Wellteilchen, cyanotype on paper, ca. 50x50 cm, 1998

With regards to the particle wave paradox the British crystallographer and the Nobel laureate William Bragg jokingly suggested in 1921: "On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays we teach the wave theory and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the corpuscular theory."

And on Sunday? The Wellteilchen (ger. "wave-particles") are a winking persiflage on the conceptual paradox interpreting the world’s substance as a wave and corpuscle as well. The base of this photogrammatic exploration are allday particles having a waveform. This undulated objects are treated with light on light sensitve material to manifest their hidden nature. Appearing once more as corpuscles and another time more as rays the results don’t present an ultimate answer. And sometimes the light seems to show its face.....
