Happy New Year wishes have a long tradition. The turn of the year is the moment to pause for reflection, for a look back, but also for a look ahead, including your New Year's resolutions. Which you like to share with friends and acquaintances. Tim Otto Roth, too, takes part in the tradition of greeting the new year and for a brief moment opens the doors to his studio and allows us a view onto his latest project. The New Year's editions from the past 20 years present a compact survey of his artistic development and the themes that have engaged his interest since the beginning of his student days: from the socio-critical Christmas tree, via 'imachinative' greetings at the turn of the year, and up to the 3D shadow theater in the form of a cube from 2015.
